Two years ago today, a record blizzard dumped 34 inches of snow on South Bend, and as the night reporter at the South Bend Tribune, I was assigned to write about it.
Schools were closed. Flights were grounded. Driving was prohibited.
As the snowdrifts piled up, a first-year Notre Dame MBA student, desperate to learn whether Notre Dame would cancel class, read my article and started following me on Twitter.
And so began our happy story, all thanks to a snow storm and social media.
Here’s the first picture we ever took together, a few weeks after our date. (How could I NOT fall in love with a such an Irish looking guy in a green Notre Dame t-shirt?)
